India’s upper parliament passes the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, including up to $30M fines and child wellbeing rules; the president must now approve  —  The upper house of India’s parliament greenlit the long-delayed data protection bill on Wednesday, facing no resistance as opposition leaders opted out of participation.
