Here are some tips to help you play Pokemon games on Android. It’s simple to bring your favorite games with you wherever you go.

Pokemon Go was a huge success, attracting many new players and inspiring a strong sense of nostalgia among others. This is due in large part to the title title cuentas de pokemon go that features the original set Pokemon Red and Blue creatures, which debuted in 1998.

There are many Pokemon games available for Android. However, they don’t feel the same as the originals.

Don’t worry if you haven’t played any of the older Pokemon games. You can easily play them today on your Android smartphone or tablet. Here’s how.

What Pokemon Games are Playable on Android

Although there is no universal Pokemon emulator, all the games from Game Boy to Nintendo DS are compatible with Android. This includes:

  • Game Boy (GB), Red and Blue.
  • Game Boy Color: Silver, Gold, and Crystal
  • Game Boy Advance Ruby and Sapphire; FireRed, and Emerald
  • Nintendo DS (NDS), Diamonds, Pearls, and Platinum; HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black and White; Black & White 2

Each system will require a different emulator. These are the main series games. However, you can emulate spinoff titles such as Pokemon Pinball.

As you would expect, emulate the consoles that are older than yours. Although you can replicate the 3DS on Android it is currently unstable. You can emulate more recent games, such as Pokemon X and Y and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire on Android. However, this article focuses only on the classics.

How to Play Pokemon Games On Android

After you have verified that the game you wish to play is real, you can get Pokemon on Android.

  • An emulator to the original system that the game was played on.
  • A version of the game.

An emulator software program that emulates a particular game system is called a piece. An emulator is required to play GB, GBA and NDS games. The emulators may not be backward-compatible, but the consoles are.

Fast-forwarding and custom save states are both supported by most emulators. You can use multiple save files at the same time with custom save states. Also, you can save during battles that the game won’t allow you to.

Fast-forwarding eliminates the problem of characters speaking too slowly and allows you to move quickly around without being told “this place is not for your bicycle.”

ROM file is basically a file that contains all the game’s data. You will need both a Pokemon Red ROM (or a Pokemon HeartGold Rom) to play Pokemon Red or HeartGold.

You are now ready to get started. Next we will discuss which emulators are best and how to locate ROMs.

Which emulator should you use for Pokemon?

This question will depend on the console you are trying to emulate. Let’s take a look at each one separately.

It’s best to ignore any emulators that aren’t on this list. Unfortunately, there are many spam emulators on the Play Store. These emulators are copies of existing emulators that have ads in every corner. This won’t give you an enjoyable Pokemon Android experience.

The following choices have been tested to make sure they work. You can also see more of the emulators we love for Android to play other consoles.

Game Boy Color and Game Boy Color

My OldBoy is the only solid candidate for imitating both Game Boy Color and Game Boy Color. There are both free and paid versions. The Free version is intended for casual use. It can be used to save your game, speed up to 2x, enter cheat codes and customize the controls.

You can upgrade for $4 and trade Pokemon with other users. If you intend to play multiple games, we think it’s well worth the money.

Both the paid and free versions are equally good, as they are both old systems. There are also no ads during gameplay.

Game Boy Advance

The GBA’s standout emulator is My Boy! The emulator is nearly identical to My OldBoy! except it can play GBA games.

The free app is no more available. However, the full paid version allows you save any time and can fast-forward up 16x. You can also link up with your friends to trade or fight.

John GBAC is a free alternative to paying for GBA and GBC Pokemon games.

Nintendo DS

First, we’ll mention the free option: “nds4droid.” This emulator is free and open-source, with no ads. You can place the D-pad or buttons wherever you like with its customizable controls. It’s not the best, but it works well enough for most devices. Unfortunately, it has not been updated in several years.

It supports cheat codes and custom save states, but no fast forwarding. It can play games at normal speeds, however.

DraStic is worth the money if you are willing to spend a little bit. It offers faster forwarding and a noticeably improved performance.

DraStic is still under development and works on Android TV as well as smartphones and tablets. It’s worthwhile to spend a few dollars on Pokemon games for your phone.

How do you get old Pokemon Game ROMs?

We are unable to provide any information about where to find game-ROMS. They are easily available online, but downloading them for games you don’t own is considered piracy. Nintendo strongly opposes the use of ROMs. You do this at your own risk.

However, we can give you some tips on how to read ROMs.

You should ensure that the correct version is downloaded for your area. There will be several (J), (U), , (E) ROM names. J is for Japan, U stands to the United States and stands in Europe.

An emulator should be compatible with any region. However, you will want one that matches your location. It won’t make sense if you don’t know Japanese to download the Japanese version.

Pay attention to what file you download. You don’t usually need to unzip ROMs that come in ZIP files. Some come as RAR files. You should delete any APK or EXE files that are provided by websites. This is malware that can infect your computer.

The size of ROM files is small relative to the age and make up a very small percentage of the console’s history. Pokemon Red is just 380KB in size, while Pokemon Black measures around 110MB.

What Pokemon Games will you play?

You now know how simple it is to download Pokemon games to your Android phone. You can relive your favorite games or try a new generation while on the go.

You can take the challenge up a level by playing , a fun Pokemon game. You can also try out some fan-made Pokemon titles after you have completed the main series.
